CHICAGO, IL, FEBRUARY 13, 2019: Accolades for OBAN’s iconic Kiyoshi shafts continue to build on Tour with another two Top 10 finishes over the weekend. Playing a Kiyoshi Purple 85 X in his TaylorMade M5 3-wood, the 40-year-old Illinois native fired a final round 65-under securing a tie for seventh place. After celebrating a T7 finish last week in Arizona, the 37-year-old Texas native, playing three Kiyoshi Purple shafts in his Callaway Epic driver, 3-wood, and 5-wood, and a Kiyoshi Black in his Adams hybrid, finished the tournament in a tie for tenth place.
Kiyoshi Purple’s unique structure delivers high launch and low spin for longer distance and tighter dispersion. The shaft is fabricated using OBAN’s unique Emersion Wrapped Frequency (EWF) Technology, enabling significantly improved torque control, bend points and stability, with less ovalization.
OBAN’s Kiyoshi Black was designed using a straight taper profile. The shaft utilizes OBAN’s exclusive Emersion Wrapped Frequency (EWF) Technology, a lower torque, and extra stiffness in the butt section of the shaft to offer a low spin and a mid-launch trajectory.
