OBAN STEEL CT-125 & KIYOSHI PURPLE PLACE TOP 10 IN PUNTA CANA

CHICAGO, IL, APRIL 2, 2019: OBAN celebrates the continued success of its popular Kiyoshi graphite shafts, and stellar performance of the new OBAN Steel CT-125 on Tour. Posting his third Top 10 of the season, the 37-year-old Texas native played Kiyoshi Purple 75 X shafts in his Callaway Epic Flash 3-wood and 5-wood. Scoring an impressive 8-under 64 on Saturday, he finished the tournament T2, one shot behind the leader.

Posting his second Top 10 of the year playing the highly anticipated OBAN Steel CT-125 (5-PW) shafts in his Callaway Apex irons, the 30-year-old Texas native fired a final round 68 to finish T5.

Made in Japan, OBAN’s CT-Series constant weight – taper tip iron shafts are manufactured to exacting specifications and tolerances. Cold extrusion, and the purity of Japanese steel combine to create a seamless responsive shaft with a uniquely smooth swing sensation. The Tour inspired innovative structure features a micro-taper step pattern and distinctive chromium finish.

The new CT-125, available this summer, rounds out the popular CT-Series line, currently available in 100 and 115 gram weights. The heavier weight offers a stable profile for faster swing speeds, mid-high launch and low-mid spin.

Kiyoshi Purple’s unique structure delivers high launch and low spin for longer distance and tighter dispersion. The shaft is fabricated using OBAN’s Emersion Wrapped Frequency (EWF) Technology, enabling significantly improved torque control, bend points and stability, with less ovalization.
